The first set of iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max preorders began arriving for customers around the world Friday morning. Further, the phones are now on sale in more than 30 markets.
Apple Watch Series 8 and 2022 Apple Watch SE preorders are also arriving for customers today.
iPhone 14 Pro series remains in high demand
Apple announced its 2022 iPhone lineup at its Far Out event on September 7. This year, the company further increased the feature gap between the Pro and non-Pro iPhones. The more expensive Pro models feature the latest A16 Bionic chip, an improved triple-camera system, the notch replacement known as the Dynamic Island, and an Always-On display.
Contrary to rumors, though, the company did not increase the prices of the phones. Pricing for the iPhone 14 Pro continues to start at $999, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max is available from $1,099.

As a result, demand for the iPhone 14 Pro series is on the higher side this year. The wait times for the phones already stretch into weeks. However, this is not the case with the regular iPhone 14, which is readily available.
If you could not place your iPhone 14 Pro preorder early, try your luck at your nearest Apple Store today. Or try Best Buy, Target or other local retailers. The rush there could be less, so the chances of getting the iPhone 14 variant you want will be higher.
Apple CEO Tim Cook made launch-day appearances at Apple retail outlets in New York City. He posted photos to Twitter showing Apple team members as well as excited customers.

Apart from the new iPhones, in-store availability of Apple Watch Series 8 and the new Apple Watch SE also start today. The Apple Watch Ultra arrives a week later, on September 23. As for the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus, it launches on October 7, though you can already place your pre-order with Apple.
Install the day one update on your new iPhone 14
If your iPhone is delivered today, install the day one iOS 16.0.1 update immediately. It will fix some bugs with iMessage and FaceTime that could cause problems during the initial setup.
The new iPhones ship with an iOS 16 build older than the public release. So, you must install the update before you can restore the backup.
Note: We will continue to update this post to include more iPhone 14 launch day info.
