Got a big camping trip coming up? Or maybe you worry about power outages at home? EcoFlow launched its new Delta Portable Power Station Friday.
The company said it fully charges in 1.3 hours, has a 10-year lifetime and powers 90% of devices and appliances.
The new station serves as an upgrade of the Delta Portable Power Station. EcoFlow noted the new one charges seven times faster than the industry average, has expandable capacity and features a battery that should keep it going for a decade.
EcoFlow Delta 2 Portable Power Station
The Delta 2 Portable Power Station offers 1800W AC output. That makes it a solid backup for a home when the power goes out, or for when you’re going off the grid in a cabin or RV, EcoFlow said.
It can be recharged to 80% capacity in 50 minutes. It supports charging via solar panels. And it can run nearly all accessories.
“The EcoFlow Delta 2 demonstrates our commitment to refining our existing technologies,” said Bruce Wang, CEO of EcoFlow. “A recharging speed seven times faster than the industry average, an up to 3KWh of expandable capacity, and a powerful output mean the Delta 2 is an essential, modern-day appliance for all families. [It] sets a new benchmark in eco-friendly power solutions.”
The Delta 2 features a large 1024Wh capacity, but it also benefits from an expandable capacity, EcoFlow said.
You can combine the Delta 2 with a Delta 2 Extra Battery for 2048Wh of energy, or with a Max Extra Battery for 3040Wh. The resulting long run-time offers a flexible option for on-demand energy for everyday use or as an emergency power supply.
In addition, Delta 2 functions across EcoFlow’s other products for power generation, storage and usage. Including solar panels, the Wave Portable Air Conditioner, the Smart Generator and other products, the EcoFlow system integrates with the Delta 2 to help free users from fixed power supplies.
‘Best-in-class’ recharging speeds
The station’s X-Stream technology allows for what EcoFlow called “best in class” recharging speeds. It can charge from 0% to 80% in 50 minutes, and to a full charge in 80 minutes. Seven times faster than the industry average, Delta 2’s “industry-leading” recharging speed allows flexibility for sudden emergencies and last-minute camping trips, the company said.
Delta 2 can also be charged using EcoFlow Portable Solar Panels. Supporting a maximum 500W solar input, the Delta 2 can be fully recharged in 3 to 6 hours, providing a sustainable power supply in outdoor and off-grid use.
Safe power supply for 90% of appliances
The Delta 2’s 1800W AC output allows it to run 90% of all appliances. That includes heaters, hair dryers, coffee makers and electric grills, EcoFlow said.
Whether used as a backup supply or to boost outings, the station’s 15 outlets power everything from iPhones to refrigerators. For high-wattage appliances, the Delta 2 offers EcoFlow’s X-Boost technology, supplying an output of up to 2200W.
Using the same LFP batteries as Tesla vehicles, the Delta 2 claims a lifetime six times as long as the industry average of 500 cycles. As a result, with up to 3,000 cycles over its life, the battery can power the station for up to 10 years.
And an advanced battery-management system (BMS) protection system monitors performance to ensure safe power delivery.
The EcoFlow Delta 2 Portable Power Station launches on September 16.
September 16 through 23, customers who purchase Delta 2 will get a free Delta 2 Waterproof Bag (normally $69), the company said. Users who join EcoFlow’s Facebook community group can use exclusive 5% and 10% off coupons when purchasing Delta 2.
In addition, U.S. consumers can join two live-streaming events about the product, one on September 16 and one on September 23, and enjoy 10% off coupons on Amazon. The promo code to use when purchasing at EcoFlow or Amazon is EFSD5OFF.
