TP-Link just flipped the switch on a new lineup of smart LED light strips and light bulbs, some of which you can use with HomeKit or other home-automation systems.

The main selling point here is budget-friendliness. Prices range from $25 to $50, so you won’t break the bank lighting up your space.

TP Link launches budget-friendly smart light strips and bulbs

TP-Link’s new smart LED light strips are the Tapo L930, Tapo L920 and Tapo L900. The new smart light bulb is the Tapo L530E. The products don’t require a hub to work, just Wi-Fi.

Tapo L930 Smart Wi-Fi Light Strip

On the high end, the Tapo L930 offers various features. The strip works with HomeKit (and Siri), Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.

You can use the smartphone app to set up a personalized lighting schedule. And you get music sync mode, up to 1,000 lumens of white light and 16 million colors. The waterproof rating is IP44 (splash proof, light rain).

$49.99 buys you a 16.4-foot roll.

Tapo L920 and L900-5 Smart Wi-Fi Light Strips

With the next two light strips — Tapo L920 ($39.99) and Tapo L900-5 ($24.99) — you get a little less in the features list, such as fewer colors per strip. And they only work with Google and Amazon voice assistants. But you can control them with the Tapo App on iOS.

Even so, these smart light strips work much the same way as the fancier L930.

Tapp L530E Smart Wi-Fi Light Bulb

TP-Link’s multicolored Tapo L530E smart light bulb ($24.99 for a 2-pack) offers millions of colors. Prefer to light up your front stoop in fuchsia on Fridays? You can select preferred colors and make them presets in the app for quick access.

The L530E shines up to a bright 806 lumens of white light. You can control it with the Tapo iOS app.
