The iPhone’s wireless payment system is more secure than credit cards, and Apple wants to make sure everyone knows it. That’s why the company created three short video ads to show off the advantages of Apple Pay.

Watch them now to learn more about the contactless payment system built into certain Apple devices.

Why Apple Pay is more secure than credit cards

Apple Pay is integrated into iPhone and Apple Watch. To use use it, you enter your credit cards into the Wallet app. After that, the card isn’t necessary to make wireless transactions. Simply tap your iPhone on the payment terminal and approve the transaction.

The first of the new advertisements on the Apple UK YouTube channel points out that physical credit cards can be stolen and then used by the thieves. A stolen iPhone can’t be used to make purchases because it’s locked with Face ID (or Touch ID).

The second short video ad points out that a credit card can be used by anyone, while only an iPhone’s user can access Apple Pay.

Apple’s third new ad reminds viewers that physical credit cards have their numbers printed on them, making them easy to copy. Apple Pay doesn’t reveal the card number.

All of these are advertisements are quick – the longest is 15 seconds. They’re just the right length to be one of those unskippable ads that shows before YouTube videos. And they might help make Apple Pay ubiquitous – it’s getting closer to that goal.
