Get a 3D printer for kids

The Toybox 3D finally lets you say “we have that at home” and mean it every time your child points at a toy they want.

The 3D printer was featured on Shark Tank, and gives your young ones access to a massive catalog of toys that they can print in one of eight colors of non-toxic, biodegradable printer filament.

But if they don’t see something they like, they can design new blueprints and upload them to the companion iOS app. The interface is simple enough that kids can use it, or you can join the fun and make it a game you play together.

To use the Toybox, your kids simply look for and prints new toys from the catalog. The printer has enough material for 100-300 toys, so they have plenty of room to explore and experiment.

One verified customer said: “The kids have loved producing lots of objects, and after several weeks they started getting into printing multi-part objects, which I love to see. Someday I expect they’ll use Tinkercad to design their own objects to print, but they’re not ready for that yet.”

The Toybox is an endless stream of new, custom toys for kids. But for parents, it’s so much more. Your kids expand their digital literacy and explore CAD programs to bring their ideas to life, which could lead to an exciting fascination with STEM.
