This week’s Cult of Mac giveaway is a sleek multi-device wireless charger that includes a removable battery pack for juicing on the go.

Worth $130, the MagEZ Slider from Pitaka is great way to charge your iPhone and AirPods on your desk or nightstand. But better yet, the charger has an integrated battery pack that attaches magnetically to your iPhone to continue charging away from home.

“The MagEZ Slider is hands down the best charging apparatus I’ve ever used!” said one satisfied customer on Pitaka’s website. And we’re giving away three of them.

The MagEZ Slider can charge your iPhone and AirPods simultaneously. The iPhone actually attaches to the MagEZ Battery Pack, which slides into the stand. The 4,000 mAh power bank has a MagSafe charger built in.

When your iPhone is charging in the stand, it’s connected magnetically to the battery pack. When you’re done, you snap off your iPhone, or you can slide out the phone and battery pack together.

“Pitaka’s battery pack is pleasantly curved,” we said in our review of the MagEZ Slider. “When I’m using it with my iPhone, I haven’t found a MagSafe battery that’s more comfortable to hold than this one.”

To charge your AirPods, or other Qi-compatible gadgets, there’s a little slide-out shelf on the back of the charger. AirPods are charged wirelessly, so it’s only compatible with models with wireless charging cases.

(The MagEZ Slider also can charge your Apple Watch with a Power Dongle that is sold separately, and is not part of this giveaway.)

Pitaka’s MagEZ Slider Dock is a great charger for anyone looking for something a little bit different. Not only can you charge up to three devices simultaneously, but the charger rotates around 360 degrees, which is great for video calls, watching videos, or turning your iPhone toward the wall at night so the glare of the screen won’t disturb you.

The MagEZ Battery Pack works with iPhone 12 and 13 series, or with any MagSafe-compatible case.

The MagEZ Slider is compact and lightweight. Together, the MagEZ Slider Dock and MagEZ Battery Pack weigh just 9.7 ounces. The MagEZ Battery Pack weighs just 3.7 ounces on its own.

The charger connects to the wall via a USB-C cable. A 20-watt wall charger comes in the box, too.

A charger and battery made from quality materials

The MagEZ Slider is made from a high-quality zinc alloy to provide a smooth and long-lasting finish. The MagEZ Battery Pack is made partly from aramid fiber. Short for “aromatic polyamide,” aramid is a lightweight, durable material that offers good impact resistance. The synthetic fiber is often used in military and aerospace settings, as well as performance automotive products and bulletproof protective gear.

About Pitaka

Founded in Shenzhen, China, Pitaka is a company dedicated to ecological manufacturing, according to the company website.

The company says it is experimenting with different material technologies and recycling, especially reusing material from larger products to manufacture smaller ones.

“If we recycle a carbon fiber suitcase, we can extract the fibers and make them [into] laptop/tablet cases; when we recycle the laptop/tablet cases, we can turn them into new cases for phone; and phone cases to watch bands or other smaller sized essentials,” the company’s website says.

To further ecological manufacturing, Pitaka is building its first materials’ sustainability lab in Shenzhen. The lab is tasked with developing materials made from bio-based fibers rather than oil-based ones.
