AirPods 2 are the perfect earbuds for general usage
Apple announced the second-gen AirPods in March 2019. Despite being more than 3 years old, you can’t go wrong with the earbuds, especially if you own other Apple products. They will seamlessly switch between your iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch or iPad without you having to play around with the Settings menu.
They also feature always-on “Hey Siri” support, so you can trigger the voice assistant without taking your iPhone out of your pocket. Apple says the second-gen AirPods can last for up to five hours on a single charge. Using the bundled carrying case boosts this to more than 24 hours.
In Cult of Mac’s AirPods 2 review, we noted that the earbuds “sound good, feel well-built, and offer that Apple simplicity.” AirPods 3, which Apple released in November 2021, brought a new design and advanced features. But if you don’t need the absolute best audio quality, and simply want a pair of wireless earbuds that “just work” for listening to music/podcasts and making calls, you can’t go wrong with the AirPods 2.

The AirPods 2 retail for $159, but if you get it from Amazon right now, you only have to pay $99. That’s a massive $60 discount off what Apple wants for the earbuds. While there are plenty of earbuds on the market, you won’t find a pair of earphones that will integrate as smoothly as AirPods with your iPhone.
Do note that the variant Amazon is selling misses out on wireless charging for the carrying case. So, you will have to plug in the case to a Lightning cable to top up its battery.
