If you’re one to suffer charging anxiety while out and about, Anker has your cure. It unveiled its latest portable, MagSafe-compatible charging bank Monday, the Anker 633 Magnetic Battery.

The beastly little brick packs a 10,000mAh battery capacity, Anker’s first product of this kind to do so. Plus it features speedier wireless charging than some previous packs as well as spritely USB-C charging when you just want to pull out a cable and get it over with.

Anker 633 Magnetic Battery packs portable power and speedy charging

Anker fortified its lineup of MagSafe-compatible accessories Monday with its most-capable power bank yet. The Anker 633 Magnetic Battery crams a 10,000mAh battery into a somewhat thick but still portable form.

The release is Anker’s fourth MagSafe power bank to ship and the first to offer a 10,000mAh battery capacity — up from the 5,000mAh that have become popular with Anker and other makers. That’s not to say it’s the only 10,000mAh bank out there, of course.

And Anker’s new 633 speeds up charging via MagSafe pad from 5W to 7.5W when compared to some recent models, like the PowerCore Magnetic 5K. And that’s not to say you can’t find other banks with 7.5W charging, because you can.

But there are undeniably useful additions here. The 633 adds a speedy 20W USB-C charging port as well as a USB-A port for wired charging of other gadgets.

Fully charge an iPhone 12 twice over

The added capacity makes for a bulkier form factor, naturally. The 633’s footprint is similar to previous models, but it’s a little thicker.

That added bulk is the price you pay — in addition to the increased price — to have a portable bank that can use its full internal battery to refuel an iPhone 12 twice over or, in the case of an iPhone 13, nearly so — 1.8 times, according to Anker.

The device also has a new version of Anker’s kickstand. You might not use it all the time, but it can be convenient. It help you use and view your iPhone while it’s charging without having to pick up the phone and bank.

Only one color is available at launch, black. But in the past with some products, Anker has added more color choices later.

The Anker 633 Magnetic Battery goes for $79.99 on Amazon, a reasonable bump over the prices of banks with half the capacity and fewer ports.
