Physics-based puzzlers are all the rage, and the latest Apple Arcade game takes the concept to the stars. In Moonshot – A Journey Home, players use a slingshot to reunite a wandering moon with its home planet.

It debuted Friday on Apple’s gaming service, which now offers more than 200 titles.

The goal of Noodlecake Studios’ Moonshot is to reunite little Moon Pi with Mother Earth using slingshot mechanics.

As Noodlecake says, “Use a simple drag and release mechanic to launch yourself past other planet’s gravity fields, all while avoiding dangerous traps like black holes, aliens and other strange space phenomena.” And don’t overlook the boosters!

At launch, Moonshot offers 126 levels spread across seven unique worlds. Plus, there are weekly challenges.

This and more Noodlecake games on Apple Arcade

You can find Moonshot – A Journey Home by Noodlecake Studios in the Apple Arcade section of the App Store. There are versions for iPhone, Mac, iPad and Apple TV. No matter the platform, an external game controller is an option.

Noodlecake has quite a few other titles in Apple’s gaming service, too. There’s the action of Slash Quest! and Towaga: Among Shadows. But Possessions is more meditative. There are other options as well.

Playing Moonshot or any of the 200+ games on Apple Arcade comes with a single $4.99-a-month subscription. And a family can share that subscription.
