Mossad hacker-agent Tamar remains undercover in Iran in Tehran season two. But this time she has Glenn Close to help. But is she really there to help?

Watch the trailer for the upcoming season for more hints of what’s to come. And the wait won’t be long — new episodes of the spy-vs-spy thriller premier May 6 on Apple TV+.

Glenn Close joins season two of Tehran

The espionage series won critical praise after debuting in 2020. It took home an international Emmy Award, and has a 94% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Tehran season two follows the further exploits of Tamar (Niv Sultan), who has infiltrated Iran under a false identity to help destroy a nuclear reactor. In the new episodes, Tamar must plan an operation that will place everyone dear to her in jeopardy.

Two-time Emmy winner and Oscar nominee Glenn Close joins the show. And Shaun Toub, Shervin Alenabi, Arash Marandi and Shila Ommi are returning.

Season two makes its global debut with two episodes on Friday, May 6. They will be followed by new episodes every Friday during its eight-episode season.

For those who want to catch up, the complete first season of Tehran is now streaming on Apple TV+.

Watching it comes with a $4.99-per-month subscription. And that also brings access to plenty more options, including thrillers, sci-fi epics, documentaries and more.
