If you’re ready to start traveling the world again despite the ongoing pandemic, accessories maker Zendure thinks its new, 65W Passport III GaN travel adapter is just what you need. It said the charger works in 200 countries and can top off up to six devices at once.

Citing the success of the device’s crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, the company even suggested Tuesday that the travel industry may be on the mend.

Well, use your own judgment there. But the Passport III does indeed look like it might be a worthy addition to your charging arsenal.

Zendure Passport III 65 watt GaN travel adapter: ‘everything charger’

Zendure, a Silicon Valley- and Hong Kong-based mobile power accessory company, released the new Passport III travel adapter on Kickstarter on February 15. According to the company, it quickly surpassed funding goals.

With four USB-C ports, a USB-A port and an AC output capable of delivering up to 65W, the company has branded the travel adapter as an “everything charger.”

Like the company’s previous travel adapters, the new Passport III has an auto-resetting fuse and press-and-slide controls for easy one-handed operation as a power adapter in different countries.

But in this latest offering, the company has departed from its usual charcoal and white exteriors in favor of a design with more “fun and nostalgia.” The company said it aimed to evoke design trends from the mid 1990s and early 2000s.

While the outside of the new travel adapter is a throwback of sorts, the inside is 100% modern, Zendure said. The primary USB-C port can deliver up to 65W, enough power to charge an iPhone to 50% in under 30 minutes or fully charge a 13-inch MacBook Pro in two hours.

The Passport III uses GaN semiconductor technology to achieve high conversion power in a small form factor without overheating.

As a travel adapter, the Passport III works in more than 200 countries and regions, with a variety of connectors and compatibility with a  range of voltages.

But Zendure said its “everything charger,” more than just a travel adapter, has the potential to replace numerous proprietary charging bricks, at home or on the road.

You can buy the Zendure Passport III travel adapter on Kickstarter, with shipping planned for April.
