Anyone who uses a stream deck to streamline hardware and software workflows with shortcuts now has the option to go hands-free with the new Elgato Stream Deck Pedal, unveiled Wednesday.

And in addition to launching the pedal, the company said its new Discord communications software plugin for Stream Deck is now available.

Elgato Stream Deck Pedal

The Stream Deck Pedal takes the form of a platform with three pedals that can control hardware, software and more. The tool looks useful for streamers who would like to trigger effects, switch scenes, toggle cameras and more.

The new pedal increases accessibility, potentially giving access to streaming to folks unable to use a traditional Stream Deck. That could include people who need to control a Stream Deck even when they’re not at their computer, like musicians, DJs and others.

Elgato noted the customizable Stream Deck Pedal supports multiple actions. That means you can line up several Stream Deck functions and execute them separately or simultaneously using one pedal. Functions include actions like opening a folder, taking a screenshot, launching an app, using software, playing a track, changing stream scenes and more.

A grippy pedal surface and anti-skid feet underneath help ensure the pedal platform remains stable under your feet.

Discord plugin

In addition to the Stream Deck Pedal, Elgato launched its official Discord Stream Deck plugin on Wednesday. That means users no longer need other third-party plugins for some functions, like muting a Discord call. Elgato’s new plugin supports microphone mute, push-to-talk, joining voice channels and switching text channels.

Pedal price: $89.99
