Eurasian filings reveal new iPhone and iPad coming soon
Not a rumor. Proof that a new iPhone and iPad will launch within a few months.

The Eurasian Economic Commission confirmed that Apple plans to release a new iPhone and iPad in the near future. The devices appear in the online database of the regulatory agency.

These are almost certainly the next-generation iPhone SE and iPad Air 5.

New 2022 iPhone and iPad models are definitely on the way

The reliability of leaks and rumors is always open to question, but these listings by the EEC go beyond that — they’re essentially confirmation that Apple plans to launch iPhone and iPad models in the coming weeks/months. The French-language site ConsoMac turned up the entries.

The EEC holds sway in several countries, such as Russia, Belarus, Armenia and more. Entries in its product database have given us early looks at Apple computers in the past, most recently the iPhone 13 series.

However, the listings don’t give many details, just model identifiers, operating systems and that the products come from Apple.

The EEC databases says Apple is prepping A2482, A2483, A2484, A2595, A2626, A2631, A2636, A2641, A2783, A2784. All of these will run iOS 15.

Of course, there won‘t be ten different models. Each identifier is for a single version in a variety of configurations. For example, in summer 2021, the EEC said Apple was prepping the A2635. Turns out that’s the version of the iPhone 13 released in Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

Similarly, the Eurasian agency now says Apple will soon release the A2436, A2588, A2696, A2759 as well as the A2482, A2483, A2484, A2595, A2626, A2631, A2636, A2641, A2783 and A2784. All of these will run iPadOS. They’re almost certainly broken into two groups in the EEC database because one set has Wi-Fi and cellular capabilities, while the other has only Wi-Fi.

The EEC reportedly posted these details today, but release dates for the products were not given. The agency added the iPhone 13 in June 2021 and the handset series wasn’t announced until September, so the upcoming devices could still be a few months in the future. On other occasions however, the lead time has been shorter.

Probably the iPhone SE 3 and iPad Air 5

While the EEC reveals few specifics about the next iPhone and iPad, leaks and rumors have more to say.

They point to a third-generation iPhone SE coming in spring 2022. This will resemble the current version but with 5G cellular-wireless networking added.

Other sources indicate the iPad Air 5 is also right around the corner. It’s expected be be a speed-bump update too, but with a camera made for high-quality video calls.
