Audio company SVS rolled out new wares at CES 2022 — Prime Wireless Pro Speakers and an accompanying SoundBase multi-room amplifier. Both have added support for Apple’s AirPlay 2 streaming over previous Prime Wireless models’ capabilities, among other new features.
SVS Prime Wireless Pro Speakers add AirPlay 2 and more
SVS‘s Prime Wireless Pro Speakers are an upgrade of the company’s current Prime Wireless model. The new ones add a bigger cabinet for deeper bass, an HDMI eARC input and a remote control.
And those aren’t the only upgrades for the new model. The Prime Wireless Pro adds Chromecast built-in and AirPlay 2 to broaden compatibility with streaming sources. The new ones will also carry over the current model’s support of Bluetooth, DTS-Play Fi and Spotify Connect.
The new version uses a 5.25-inch woofer and 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter in each speaker, powered by a 200-watt (50 watts x 4) built-in amplifier. The new and current models both feature Amazon Alexa and Google voice control and sport a subwoofer output jack.

SVS also launched a new version of its SoundBase Wireless multi-room amplifier for use with passive speaker systems. The Prime Wireless Pro SoundBase offers the same features as the Prime Wireless Pro speakers. SVS said it expects to ship both products in March 2022.
Prime Wireless Pro Speakers will come in black or white finishes.
