Ted Lasso, The Morning Show and CODA racked up multiple nominations in the 2002 Screen Actors Guild Awards, helping to further polish the reputation of the Apple TV+. The Tragedy of MacBeth wasn’t overlooked by the SAG wards, either.

Apple’s streaming service was a standout, with Ted Lasso tied for the most nominations for any series.

SAG nominations for Apple TV+ films

CODA, the Apple TV+ film about the adult child of deaf parents, is up for a SAG award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. And Troy Kotsur was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for the film.

The curse on the Scottish Play didn’t affect Denzel Washington — he’s up for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role for The Tragedy of Macbeth.

SAG nominations for Apple series

Ted Lasso, Apple TV+’s heartwarming comedy about a football coach, keeps racking up accolades. It has five nominations in the 2022 SAG Awards. That includes Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

Individually, both Jason Sudeikis and Brett Goldstein are up for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series. And Hannah Waddinton and Juno Temple are both up for the equivalent award for a female actor.

Apple TV+‘s The Morning Show has also been showered with trophies. It scored for SAG 2022 nominations, including Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Both Jennifer Anniston and Reese Witherspoon have nominations for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. Aniston already won this award in the past for her role in the first season of Apple’s series. Billy Crudup is up for the equivalent award for a male actor.

Watching any of the SAG nominated actors in the shows or films comes with an $4.99-per-month Apple TV+ subscription.
