Sick of sticky smudges all over your Apple devices? The company’s pricey Polishing Cloth is now back in stock for those who didn’t get a chance to buy one before it quickly sold out last fall.
The $19 purchase is designed to safely and effectively clean any glass display. It’s one of the only cloths Apple recommends for nano-texture panels.

Get the Apple Polishing Cloth today
Apple introduced the Polishing Cloth last October alongside the new MacBook Pro lineup. It was wildly mocked online for its hefty price tag — it is only a piece of cloth, after all — that didn’t stop Apple fans from scrambling to buy one.
Within its first day of availability, the Polishing Cloth sold out, and shipping estimates were pushed back into November. A few days later, Apple couldn’t keep up with orders and it stopped accepting them. Now the Cloth is back.
You can order yours through the Apple Store online for home delivery or in-store pickup. Delivery estimates depend on where you live, but it seems most customers are able to obtain one within a few days.
But do you really need a $19 Polishing Cloth?
Alternatives are available
Although it’s best not to use any old cloth on special nano-texture glass — like that available with Pro Display XDR — it is perfectly fine to use other soft, non-abrasive (and more affordable) options on any other glass screen.
We recommend CultCloth if you’re looking for high-quality alternatives that cost a lot less. And if you’re on a particularly tight budget, almost any pack of microfiber cleaning cloths from Amazon will do the trick.
