Soundbars are closely associated with smart TVs and home cinema setups, but this one is designed specifically for your desktop.

The Vancouver, Washington-based peripherals maker called the Cyber Acoustics USB Speaker Bar – CA-2890 “a compact plug-and-play computer speaker that conveniently attaches to any monitor, leaving valuable desktop real estate untouched for a clean, productive workspace, while meeting all your computer speaker needs.”

Cyber Acoustics USB Speaker Bar features

The company said its USB speaker bar has surprisingly powerful sound for its small size, improving typical desktop audio for everyday needs. The device lifts and projects sound forward for a better stereo experience.

The company’s new speaker bar saves space because it doesn’t need to take up any of your workspace. It connects to the USB port on any Mac, PC or Chromebook and attaches to the bottom of your monitor. It features easily accessible volume and speaker mute controls.

The company emphasized the speaker’s simple plug-and-play operation. It requires no complicated installation. An included USB-A to USB-C converter helps you connect to newer laptops with few or no USB-A ports.

Price and availability

You can pick up the Cyber Acoustics USB Speaker Bar – CA-2890 on Amazon for $24.99. The company offers a 1-year warranty.
