Spotify’s new synchronized song lyrics — much like those we’ve enjoyed inside Apple Music for a while now — are now rolling out globally. The feature is available to both free and paid users across almost all devices.

Lyrics were one of the most requested features among Spotify users, the company said. They first entered testing among a smaller number of customers early this year, and now everyone can enjoy them.

Spotify gets live lyrics across all platforms

“It’s easier to jam out to your latest favorite song when you know the words,” Spotify said in its announcement. “That’s why, beginning today, Spotify is empowering millions of fans around the world to sing louder and more confidently than ever with the launch of Lyrics.”

The new feature, which is powered by Musixmatch, is almost identical to Apple Music’s in every way. Lyrics automatically follow the song, so there’s no need to scroll them manually, and users can share snippets with their friends.

Spotify says that lyrics are available for the “majority” of its tracks, but it doesn’t give an exact number. That means you may come across some lesser-known songs that don’t have them — just like on Apple Music.

You can enjoy the feature across almost all platforms on which Spotify is supported, including iOS and Android, Mac and PC, the web, games consoles, smart TVs, Amazon Fire devices, Roku, and lots more.
