Plenty of backpacks have an AirTag tracker attached by their owners, but Targus is making one with Apple Find My tech built in. This will allow users to locate the backpack with their iPhone if it gets lost.
The Cypress Hero EcoSmart Backpack won’t launch until spring, but has already been named a CES 2022 Innovation Awards Honoree.
Targus Cypress Hero EcoSmart Backpack is smarter with Find My
Devices with Find My support can be automatically located by any mobile Apple device. So if this Targus backpack is left at a train station, the owner will be notified of its location as soon as someone with an iPhone wanders near it.
As a bonus, it’s made with recycled materials. The equivalent of 26 plastic water bottles in recycled materials will be used in producing each backpack.
The Targus Cypress Hero EcoSmart Backpack fits laptops up to 16 inches in a dedicated, passed compartment. Plus there’s plenty of pockets and storage compartments for other devices and personal items.
“We have combined the latest Apple technology with a smart, carefully designed backpack that meets the needs of today’s mobile and eco-conscious consumers for superior comfort, convenience, and functionality – whether at home, in the office, or on the go,” said Scott Elrich, Director, Global Product Management – Soft Cases.
Pricing for the Targus Cypress Hero EcoSmart Backpack has not yet been announced.
