RiotPwr is out with a new version of its iPhone game controller with a Lightning connector. This mimics the design of Microsoft’s Xbox controller, and new version adds a pair of buttons needed to play many games.

Apple likes this accessory so much it just began offering it in the Apple Store, both online and brick-and-mortar locations.

Mobile gamers shouldn’t miss Rotor Riot iPhone game controller

Apple calls this the Rotor Riot Lightning Connected Game Controller, but RiotPwr‘s full name for it is Rotor Riot iOS Controller RR1852 PWR Plus.

Whatever it’s called, the device has the same button, joystick layout and general design as an Xbox controller. But this controller from RiotPwr has something Microsoft would never put in: a cable with a Lighting connector. Plug this into an iPhone and you’re ready to game. No Bluetooth necessary.

There’s also a removable stand that’s adjustable for iPhones of a variety of sizes. Remove this if you’re gaming with an iPad that has a Lightning port.

The second-generation Rotor Riot iOS model adds equivalents to the View and Menu buttons that are missing from the original version.

The Rotor Riot iOS controller uses a Lightning cable so there’s no hassles with Bluetooth. It’s plug and play.

The controller can be used with Apple Arcade and MFi games. And it supports cloud-gaming services, like Google Stadia, Amazon Luna and Xbox Game Pass..

The updated Rotor Riot Lightning Connected Game Controller is now available at the Apple Store priced at $49.99. It can also be purchased on the RiotPwr website at that same price.
