ColorWare is now offering Apple’s newest AirPods in much prettier, more colorful designs. You can choose how you want yours to be painted, but be warned that you’ll have to cough up a lot more to stand out.

Prices start at a rather eye-watering $319 — up from just $179 when you buy AirPods in white — and that price covers only the AirPods buds themselves. It rises even higher if you want a colorful charging case as well.

Give AirPods 3 an expensive splash of color

ColorWare is known for giving all kinds of gadgets a pretty makeover. It offers painted game consoles and controllers, computer mice, and even robot vacuums. This week, it added third-generation AirPods to its product list.

And, unlike some other customization services, ColorWare lets you choose exactly how you want your AirPods painted. It offers a massive range of paint colors in all kinds of finishes, and you can pick more than one.

You can choose to have each of your AirPods buds painted in different colors, if you wish — and choose a third for their charging case. But be warned that painting AirPods isn’t an easy job, and it doesn’t come cheap.

Prices start at $319 when you have just the AirPods buds themselves painted. They rise to $369 — almost $200 more than brand-new AirPods in white — when you get the charging case painted as well.

Order fast for the holidays

Because ColorWare paints your AirPods exactly as you want them, you have to wait a little while for the work to be done. Shipping times currently sit at 2-3 weeks, so if you want some in time for the holidays, you’ll need to act fast.

It’s also worth noting that the paint job voids Apple’s original warranty, however, ColorWare does offer its own parts and labor coverage for one year.
