The gamer-themed workplace comedy Mythic Quest has been picked up for seasons three and four on Apple TV+. Not surprising: season two of the show enjoys a 100% critics approval score from Rotten Tomatoes.
The ensemble cast will return for more dysfunctional but somehow warm hearted office shenanigans.
Mythic Quest coming back for two more seasons
Co-creator Rob McElhenney celebrated the news with a funny video call with Sir Anthony Hopkins and Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso) that was posted on Twitter.

Apple TV+ happily gushes about the show. “Just like critics and audiences all over the world, we fell in love with Rob and his team’s sharp writing and full-of-heart, relatable characters that make up the world of Mythic Quest,” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+. “We can’t wait for viewers to see what’s in store in the upcoming seasons of this brilliant workplace comedy.”

The comedy features developers at a video game company. Real-world game developer Ubisoft assisted with its creation, suggesting that its humor has a basis in reality.
The Cult of Mac review of the second season (which wrapped up in spring 2021) says, “The creative team that drives the Apple TV+ comedy about game developers found the sweet spots that made the first season above average.” Scout Tafoya went on to say, “I can’t wait for season 3.”
McElhenney stars in Mythic Quest along with an ensemble cast including Academy Award winner F. Murray Abraham, David Hornsby, Charlotte Nicdao, Ashly Burch, Dana Imani Hakim, Jessie Ennis and more.
It’s not known when seasons two and three will hit Apple’s streaming service. But seasons one and two of Mythic Quest are available now on Apple TV+. Watching them requires a $4.99-per-month subscription.
