Apple’s gaming service will soon launch a pair of big-name titles. Basketball season starts soon, and that means it’s time for NBA 2K22 Arcade Edition. Meanwhile, Transformers: Tactical Arena will let players choose their favorite characters and battle it out in PvP action.
Both will be available in the coming weeks on Mac, iPhone and more. But a subscription to Apple Arcade will be needed.
Shoot some hoops in NBA 2K22 Arcade Edition
The original NBA 2K21 Arcade Edition debuted in spring 2021 and an updated version is coming up. The basketball-simulation game features some of the NBA’s top ballers, including Luka Doncic, Damian Lillard, Kevin Durant, Jayson Tatum, Zion Williamson, Rui Hachimura and Karl-Anthony Towns.
NBA 2K22 Arcade Edition players can compete head-to-head with a friend in Online Multiplayer mode or jump into Quick Match featuring updated 2022 NBA rosters. Other options include playing 3v3 street basketball in Blacktop mode and starting a personal NBA journey in MyCareer mode.
Or take play in a new direction with Association Mode. Aspiring coaches and players can become the general manager and head coach of their favorite NBA franchise and build a dream team. They’ll manage their NBA roster and make trades, sign free agents, scout up-and-coming prospects, and control their team’s finances.

Shoot some robots in Transformers: Tactical Arena
No longer robots in disguise, Transformers: Tactical Arena will let players assemble a team of their favorite characters in a real-time person-versus-person strategy game. They’ll fight it out in an arena with players from around the world.
Transformers will level up, and winning battles will allow players to unlock new characters. The developer, Red Games, promises “dozens of familiar characters, powerful structures, and an arsenal of tactical support units at your disposal, no two battles are alike.”

More games on Apple Arcade
It’s not yet known when either of these will be available on the gaming service. Apple only says “coming soon.” Still, it shouldn’t be more than a few weeks.
When they launch, they’ll be playable on Mac, iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, with game controller support.
Access to both comes with a $4.99-a-month Apple Arcade subscription. That also includes more than 200 other games. Sports fans can try NBA 2K21 Arcade Edition or Ultimate Rivals. Players ready for a fight should try Lego Star Wars Battles or Lego Brawls.
