Anker just expanded its lineup of USB-C wall chargers with an unusually compact and colorful set of four Nano Pro gallium nitride (GaN II) units offering 20W of power on the cheap. And they arrive just in time to help you charge Apple’s new iPhone 13 handsets.

Anker appears to refer to the little power plant as the Anker 511 Charger (Nano Pro). Whichever name you prefer, it’s designed to deliver 20W of charging power to rapidly juice up the latest iPhone, or your iPhone 11 or 12 series handset, or a tablet like an iPad Pro, the company said.

Anker released some small and powerful GaN USB-C chargers earlier this year.

Now it’s back with an even more compact and affordable offering ahead of iPhone’s latest handset release. The new chargers pack 20W of power.

The company notes that level of power delivery charges an iPhone to 50% capacity in 25 minutes — three times faster than a 5W charger can do the same job. Yet the Nano Pro is tiny, just 45% of the size of “an original 20W charger,” Anker said.

A Nano Pro’s dimensions are 1.15  x 1.15  x 1.18 inches. It weighs 1.12 ounces.

Cool colors and safety features

The colors you can choose from are new and unusual, too. You can get Arctic White, Black Ice, Cool Lavender, or Glacier Blue.

Anker noted some new safety features included in the Nano Pro. A Dynamic Temperature Sensor and a Power Tuner chip adjust charging rates according to the device you plug in to the charger.

You can pick any of the four new Anker 511 Chargers (Nano Pro) for $19.99 on Amazon. Cable sold separately.
