The 11mm-thick JVC Wireless Power Bank has glass on its back and front, giving it a sleek look and feel. At a glance you might take it for an iPhone. It’s designed to work with the iPhone 12 series’ integrated magnets, or those of other gadgets.

JVC Power Bank: MagSafe-compatible

With a battery capacity of 5000mAh, the Power Bank has the juice to refuel a few devices. It powers up an iPhone 12 or another device with 5W of charging speed when magnetically attached. However, you can also attach devices via USB-C for 15W of charging power.

Variety of outputs

As noted above, JVC’s sleek new bank can fuel devices using Qi charging while magnetically attached. But it also featues the aforementioned USB-C port for faster charging. And it has a USB-A for fueling up other devices, like earbuds. The USB-C and USB-A ports are along the bottom of the bank, alongside its own power input.

The package includes a U-shaped magnetic strip to help you attach a device or a case without one.

Pricing and availability

At a price of $49.95, the new JVC Power Bank is about half the price of Apple’s official MagSafe charger. JVC’s option became available on Amazon on Tuesday but was noted as “temporarily out of stock” today.
