Known for its wide array of chargers and other accessories, Anker has now gotten into the automotive charging game for the first time with its new MagSafe-compatible Anker Powerwave Car Charging Mount.

Designed for the iPhone 12 series, the car-charging mount fastens to a vent in your car’s dashboard. It uses magnets to hold your smartphone either vertically or horizontally. It also comes with an adhesive strip to hold it fast if needed for your particular car-vent situation.

Car-mount charger with 7.5W of charging power

Like many car-mount chargers out there, the new offering from Anker delivers 7.5W of power rather than the 15W you find in Apple’s own MagSafe products.

The package includes a USB-C cable. While the Anker mount holds your iPhone and conveys power to it, you will need a 18W USB-C car charger to provide the power itself.

Fits a variety of cars

The air-vent mount design allows the device to clip onto a variety of car vents. The included 3M adhesive pad might help, though, if the mount’s clamps don’t fit you air vents perfectly. A ball-head mount enables you to position the accessory just so, and you can rotate the mount, too.

The Anker PowerWave Magnetic Car Charging Mount costs $35.99 on Amazon.
