The audio limitations of Bluetooth have been much in the news lately, so Belkin picked the perfect time to launch Soundform Connect. The wireless adapter allows iPhone users to communicate to any speaker over AirPlay 2… that’s Wi-Fi and high-quality audio.

“Give your existing speakers or receiver a new digital life with an adapter that’ll allow you to play music directly from your iOS and Mac devices with AirPlay 2,” notes Belkin. The adapter has both a 3.5mm audio jack as well as optical output so it’s ready for a wide variety of powered speakers, including soundbars.

Stream CD-quality audio with Soundform Connect

With AirPlay 2, users can stream and control audio directly from their iPhone, iPad or Mac. From your Apple device, the audio is transmitted over Wi-Fi, not Bluetooth. That means CD-quality sound: 16-bit/44.1 kHz.

Music streaming to speakers can be controlled with Siri commands. And AirPlay 2 support means Soundform Connect is integrated into Apple HomeKit smart homes. So legacy speakers can be part of scenes and automations.

Soundform Connect is available now on It’s priced at $99.99.
