The Belkin Face Tracking Magnetic Phone Mount with MagSafe uses facial recognition to keep an iPhone’s camera constantly pointed at the user, taking the place of a cameraman.

It uses MagSafe to hold the handset in place, and Belkin also unveiled a range of other MagSafe accessories on Tuesday, including clip-on batteries in two sizes.

Your next home performance can be recorded with your iPhone camera following your movements. Belkin’s Face Tracking Magnetic Phone Mount can rotate a full 360 degrees. It can be manually tilted from -15 degrees to 30 degrees up. Plus, the magnet attachment means the handset can be in landscape or portrait mode.

An iOS application handles the job of pointing the camera. And it connects to social networking services, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and more. But it isn’t compatible with FaceTime, Zoom or other video chatting apps.

This accessory does not charge your phone — it runs off batteries. And, as it uses the MagSafe system, it is only compatible with the iPhone 12 series, not any earlier models.

The Belkin Face Tracking Magnetic Phone Mount costs $64.99. It was unveiled on Tuesday but is listed on the Belkin website as “coming soon.”

New Belkin MagSafe-compatible batteries, chargers and more

Belkin also took the wraps off a pair of power banks that use the MagSafe system to cling to the back of an iPhone 12 series device. The Boost↑Charge Magnetic Wireless Power Bank comes in a 2500mAh version ($49.99) and a 10,000mAh version ($69.99).

Both attach themselves the right back of the iOS handset with magnets. Even though they are both described by Belkin as being MagSafe compatible, they don’t support the full 15 watts of charging that many MagSafe accessories offer. The smaller battery offers 5W, while the larger tops out at 7.5W. The Belkin website says each of these clip-on batteries is “coming soon.”

The accessory-maker also added a number of other MagSafe-compatible products on Tuesday. That includes Boost↑Charge Magnetic Wireless Charger Stand 7.5W ($34.99). This is a much simpler option than the Belkin Boost↑Charge Pro 2-in-1 Wireless Charger Stand ($99.95).

Also new are the Boost↑Charge Magnetic Portable Wireless Charger Pad 7.5W ($29.99)and the Magnetic Fitness Phone Mount (34.99).
