There are many games about ghostbusting. Cozy Grove is the exact opposite. The latest Apple Arcade title takes players camping on a haunted island where the goal is the help the spirits, not fight them.

The developer, Spry Fox, calls it, “a life-sim game about camping on a haunted, ever-changing island.”

Don’t be afraid the ghosts. “As a Spirit Scout, you’ll wander the island’s forest each day, finding new hidden secrets and helping soothe the local ghosts,“ says Spry Fox. “With a little time and a lot of crafting, you’ll bring color and joy back to Cozy Grove!“

Apple calls its new game “hauntingly charming.”

It features hand-drawer landscapes and dozens of characters and spirits to befriend, each with its own backstory. Players collect spirit animals, craft decorations, go fishing and more.

Available now on Apple Arcade

Cozy Grove debuted on Apple’s streaming service on Friday. It can be downloaded now from the App Store.  There are versions for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV, and selected Xbox and PS4 controllers are supported.

Apple Arcade costs $4.99 per month, and comes with over 100 games. That includes The Survivalists, which asks players to train monkeys to make life comfortable on a deserted island. Apple’s service bans in-app purchases, loot boxes and ads so there are no hidden fees.
