Blurry Billie Eilish doc comes into focus with new Apple TV+ promo

Apple’s second trailer for its Apple TV+ Billie Eilish documentary, The World’s A Little Blurry, shows off a bit more of what fans can expect from the upcoming film.

The documentary, which Apple reportedly paid $25 million to acquire, will debut on Apple TV+ later this month, February 26. It features footage of Eilish and her brother, Finneas O’Connell, growing up, as well as recording some of their smash hits.

Apple has a previous working relationship with Eilish. She performed at the Apple Music Awards from the Steve Jobs Theater in December 2019. Apple also named her its Global Artist of the Year, as well as Songwriter of the Year. He has additionally co-hosted a limited Apple Music radio show with her father, Patrick O’Connell.

The World’s A Little Blurry is just the latest Apple documentary to focus on music. To date, the best of these is easily Beastie Boys Story. However, even before the launch of Apple TV+, Apple offered music-themed documentaries such as 808: The Movie and one based on the Cash Money rap label, as part of Apple Music.

The new Billie Eilish documentary is directed by R.J. Cutler, the director of the excellent Vogue documentary The September Issue.

Apple TV+ is available for $4.99 per month, or for free for one year if you buy a new iPad, iPhone, Mac or Apple TV. You can also get a reduced monthly rate if you subscribe to Apple One, the company’s bundle subscription service.
