American singer and songwriter Billie Eilish is continuing her connection with Apple Music listeners with the release of a new radio show featuring she and her father, Patrick O’Connell.
Her new show, me & dad radio, will debut Friday on Apple Music at noon Pacific time with six episodes planned.
According to Variety, Eilish says the show will feature music chosen by her and her father:
“My dad and I have had this relationship over the years of sharing music with each other. My dad has shown me some of my favorite songs in the world and I’ve shown him songs that he loves and adores also.”
Eilish plans on including the rest of her family on the show, too:
“My plan is, obviously it’s me and Dad’s show, but then we’re going to have one episode that has Mom come and give us some songs, and then I want to have another one where Finneas comes and gives us some songs. So it’s not like I replaced Finneas with my dad. I mean, it is like that, but it’s not.”
Eilish first gained media attention in 2015 when she uploaded the song “Ocean Eyes” to SoundCloud. The song was written and produced by her brother, Finneas, with whom she collaborates. Her debut EP, Don’t Smile at Me, reached the top 15 in the United States, Britain, Canada and Australia. Eilish’s debut studio album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, debuted atop the Billboard 200 and became the best-performing album of 2019 in the United States.
