Want to take iPadOS 14’s keyboard and mouse support for a gaming spin? Pascal’s Wager has you covered.

The dark fantasy action RPG, showcased at Apple’s 2019 iPhone event, is reportedly the first iPad game to benefit from this treatment. Apple said it would bring keyboard and mouse support to iOS devices at this year’s Worldwide Developers Conference.

Mouse and keyboard support comes to iPad

While this may be the first game to add keyboard and mouse support, it certainly won’t be the last. Both are an integral part of modern gaming, especially on the PC. (iPad gamers have been able to use controllers for years now.)

The introduction of full mouse and keyboard support for iOS devices takes things one level further. Fans greeted the news positively when Apple announced it at WWDC. While some other titles, such as the excellent Civilization VI, already incorporated keyboard support, Pascal’s Wager is where we get to see the promise of mouse support come to fruition.

Alongside keyboard/mouse support for iOS 14 and later, the Pascal’s Wager update adds a new “Obsession Challenge” mode, in which players can compete to see who can defeat the game’s bosses the fastest. Developer Giant Network also added new costumes to the game, along with several bug fixes.

Pascal’s Wager App Store description reads as follows:

Pascal’s Wager is an action role playing game with the style of dark fantasy. The game provides its players with top-notch picture quality and a feast for the senses that the mobile platform has never had before. In the game, the world is shrouded by dark mist, where light is dim and mysterious. People there become lunatic, and nobody knows the secrets behind that.

Players can play multiple characters to experience the strong storyline and reveal various hidden areas of the map. Along the way, they will fight unbelievable enemies, confront epic bosses, and embrace overwhelming death and truth. All the while, they’ll be engrossed by a magnificent soundtrack performed by a world-class orchestra.”

You can download Pascal’s Wager from the App Store. It costs $4.99 and offers in-app purchases.
