A trio of new informative and enjoyable shows hit Apple TV+ on Friday. Mind-blowing documentary Fireball takes a look at meteors throughout history, while Becoming You explores human development. And Doug Unplugs is an animated series for small children.

Each can be watched now on Apple’s streaming video service.

Fireball: Visitors From Darker Worlds explodes onto your TV

Fireball explores how meteorites have impacted our planet’s landscapes and cultures. The film comes from acclaimed directors Werner Herzog and Clive Oppenheimer. It’s “unspeakably beautiful” and “the kind of documentary you’ll want to watch over and over again,” according to the Cult of Mac review. Rated TV-PG, the documentary runs 1 hour, 37 minutes.

Marvel at childhood development in Becoming You

Becoming You shows how our first 2,000 days shape the rest of our lives. It follows over 100 children across the world, from Nepal to Japan and Borneo, and promises a thought-provoking look at how children learn to think, speak and move, from birth to age 5. The Cult of Mac review says it’s “beautiful and easy watch, good for just about any conceivable audience.”

All six episodes of the TV-G-rated documentary series are available now. Each episode runs approximately 40 minutes.

Preschoolers can learn about life in Doug Unplugs. This computer-animated show is based on a popular book series about a robot boy and his human friends. Our reviewer says the series from DreamWorks Animation is “perfect for young kids, and not too much for tired parents.”
