Apple now has its very own music channel, dubbed Apple Music TV, that streams music videos and more 24 hours a day. You can watch it on any Apple device (as long as you live in the U.S.) absolutely free.

Here’s how — and what you need to know.

Apple Music TV is like the good old days of MTV, before it became a reality TV channel. It’s almost all music videos all of the time, with some special events, interviews, and other features sprinkled in.

The channel will host weekly chart shows, premiere new music videos every Friday, and host “takeovers” for some of the world’s biggest artists to celebrate new album releases and more.

Here’s how to enjoy it all.

How to watch Apple Music TV

You might assume you need an Apple Music or Apple TV+ subscription to watch Apple Music TV, but in actual fact, the channel is free to all. The only catch is that it’s not currently available outside of the U.S.

If you live in the U.S., here’s how you can watch it on different devices.

Watch on iPhone, iPad and Mac

You can watch Apple Music TV on iPhone, iPad, and Mac through the built-in Music or TV apps. Find it under the Browse tab, then tap the Watch Now button to start the stream.

Watch on Apple TV

Apple Music TV is also available on Apple TV through the TV app. Again, look for it under the Browse section, then select Watch Now to start the stream.

Watch on other devices

You can also enjoy Apple Music TV on other devices by visiting Apple.co/AppleMusicTV in your web browser. However, if you visit this link on an Apple device, it will take you to the TV app.

Apple Music TV is live 24 hours a day. It’s not yet clear if or when it will be available outside of the U.S., but we can’t see a good reason why Apple wouldn’t expand its reach at some point.
