For Apple leaker Jon Prosser, Tuesday’s “Time Flies” event was a make-or-break situation.

Prosser, the Front Page Tech YouTuber whose reputation took a hit last week after he claimed Apple would launch new Apple Watches and iPads via press release, staked his continued relevance on his predictions for the event.

When the dust finally settled Tuesday, Prosser did not find himself slurping up a hot bowl of claim chowder. In fact, he pretty much nailed it.

Jon Prosser’s ‘Time Flies’ predictions

Just two hours before Apple’s big show, Prosser doubled down on his updated predictions for the day’s new products.

“Reminder of the things I said you can expect FOR SURE in today’s #AppleEvent,” he tweeted. Then he listed iPad Air 4, iPad 8, Apple Watch SE and Apple Watch Series 6 products definitely popping out of the vaunted magic pipeline Tuesday.

He also raised the stakes on his “no iPhones” prediction (and said Apple’s rumored AirPods Studio headphones would also be no-shows). He even put his personal appearance on the line.

“If they actually do give us the iPhone 12 today, I’ll shave off my eyebrows,” he tweeted.

It was just another big, colorful day in the life of a serial, and seriously outspoken, Apple leaker. With a huge sense of humor, and an irreverent streak a mile wide, Prosser clearly relished yet another day in the spotlight. And when The Mirror’s website wrote about Prosser’s solemn eyebrow vow, he took time out to poke fun at the coverage.

Nailed it!

So, how did Prosser fare? To recap, he predicted we would see:

iPad Air 4: check
iPad 8: check
Apple Watch SE: check
Apple Watch Series 6: check

… and would not see:

iPhone 12: check
AirPods Studio: check

In other words, he nailed ’em all. (He also pinned the Apple Watch SE’s $279 price point and key details about the hardware.)

An important day for Prosser

For Prosser — a rising star in the world of Apple leaks who we recently compared to vaunted Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman — the Time Flies event served as welcome proof that he clearly knows a thing or two about a thing or two. (For the record, Prosser’s arch-nemesis Gurman also predicted Apple Watch Series 6, iPad Air 4 and a cheaper Apple Watch, although he didn’t mention the iPad 8. Gurman also correctly said not to expect iPhone 12 at Tuesday’s event.)

When Prosser appeared on our podcast, The CultCast, the colorful YouTuber impressed us with his sourcing and methods. Even if he did drop an almost unbelievable leak about a possible Steve Jobs Heritage Edition Apple Glass.

Prosser’s high-energy delivery in his Front Page Tech videos isn’t for everyone. But his joke-riddled revelations about Apple Glass and other secret projects can’t be ignored. Gurman called the Apple Glass rumors “complete fiction,” but we’re not so sure.

On Tuesday, Prosser reaffirmed his status as the leaker Tim Cook loves to hate. And, ever the joker, Prosser couldn’t help taking a swipe at other tech journalists and leakers who contended Apple would reveal the iPhone 12 lineup during the event.

“Is everyone having fun ordering your iPhones that you swore were coming today?” he tweeted.

At least Prosser wasn’t on Amazon ordering clippers to erase his eyebrows.
