An Apple Store in Brooklyn was caught up in a violent clash allegedly between Antifa protests and right-wing groups, the Daily Mail reports. The Apple Williamsburg store had its windows broken, while a nearby Whole Foods, which is owned by Amazon, had the words “Murder Bezos” spray-painted over its storefront.

The incident took place over the weekend in the Williamsburg section of Brooklyn. Video of the scene shows people in hooded shirts breaking the glass windows of the store by throwing objects against it.

The report notes that:

“The Antifa activists were marching in solidarity with the counter-demonstrators who clashed with members of pro-Confederate and white supremacist organizations in the Atlanta suburb of Stone Mountain, Georgia, on Saturday.

Several dozen right-wing activists toting rifles and Confederate battle flags gathered near Stone Mountain Park, home to a giant sculpture of Confederate leaders.

The Three Percenters militia, which organized the event, had applied last month to hold a more than 2,000-strong rally ‘to defend and protect our history and Second Amendment rights’ at the park, in response to a march by an all-black militia held on July 4.”

The situation wound up turning into nasty, with armed people on both sides clashing. The Apple Williamsburg store was just one of the buildings targeted.

This is not the first time this year that Apple Stores have been damaged by protestors. In May, several Apple Stores were vandalized during protests in major cities across the United States. Apple responded by closing the stores temporarily shortly after reopening these retail locations after the coronavirus pandemic.
