Apple has lined up new iMac and AirPods refreshes for 2020 that are “ready to ship,” according to a reliable leaker. Both products could appear “at any time,” but it doesn’t seem like Apple has nailed down release dates just yet.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic hasn’t prevented Apple from churning out a slew of new products already this year — despite the labor shortages and manufacturing challenges the outbreak caused throughout Asia earlier this year.

And there are plenty more Apple products to come. Reliable leaker Jon Prosser is aware of at least two that could launch any day now.

New iMac and AirPods on the way

“There’s still an iMac and AirPods ready to ship,” Prosser tweeted Tuesday. “Theoretically, since they’re ready, they could drop at any time.” In response to a question about whether Apple might release the new iMac on Wednesday — the 22nd anniversary of Steve Jobs showing off the iMac G3 — Prosser tweeted, “I haven’t heard of anything releasing today.”

Apple already dropped a 13-inch MacBook Pro refresh this week, after introducing a new MacBook Air and Mac mini in late March. There are no details on what we can expect from the new iMac just yet.

Based on those other refreshes, it’s likely Apple’s newest all-in-one desktop computer will ship with faster Intel chips and increased storage. They also could pack new AMD graphics chips, and we could finally see the death of spinning hard disk drives.

Other sources, including reliable Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, previously predicted a big iMac overhaul that will sport a new design for 2020. We’re also expecting a brand-new 23-inch model.

More to come in 2020

Prosser is “not sure which AirPods” model Apple is ready to ship yet; all he knows about them at this point is their code name. Apple is expected to be working on a cheaper alternative to AirPods Pro that will feature a sportier design.

These buds are different from the second-generation Powerbeats Pro that Apple is already receiving certifications for ahead of their big debut.

Asked for an update on the long-rumored launch of Apple’s AirTags tracking tags, Prosser replied simply, “WWDC.”

Prosser added that he will update followers when he can confirm launch dates for the new iMac and AirPods. The tech analyst accurately confirmed the release dates of the 2020 iPhone SE and the new MacBook Pro hours before their arrival.
