Satechi began taking pre-orders for its USB-C Wireless Charging Dock for Apple AirPods on Tuesday, April 14. It’s normally $29.99, but the company is offering $5 with coupon code “AIRPODS” until April 20.

Satechi will donate 5% of all sales until April 30 to Project C.U.R.E., who is working diligently to provide critical supplies to hospitals during the fight against COVID-19.

Satechi USB-C Wireless Charging Dock for Apple AirPods goes all in on portability

To absolutely minimize on bulk, this accessory doesn’t include a cable. It plugs directly into the USB-C port on Apple laptops or iPad Pro tablets. And many wall power supplies have the same port.

This Charging Dock can not directly send power to AirPods. It requires Apple’s wireless charging case that comes with the AirPods Pro released in late 2019. Users of the original AirPods Generation 1 and Gen 2 must buy this case separately.

Satechi recessed the top of this charger to hold the AirPods case in place. And there’s a LED to indicate when power is flowing.

This company also makes an alternative version for Apple’s wearable. This is called, logically enough, USB-C Magnetic Charging Dock for Apple Watch.
