The surprise iPad Pro refresh, unveiled on Wednesday morning, has us all reaching for a credit cards. If you’re still on the fence, Apple’s awesome new ads will convince you this is a worthwhile upgrade.

Both highlight iPad Pro’s increasing ability to replace a traditional computer thanks to its blazing-fast A12Z Bionic processor, brand-new Magic Keyboard, and true trackpad support.

iPad Pro is already insanely fast. The A12X Bionic chip in today’s models, released in late 2018, can easily outpace the mobile chips found in the majority of laptops on the market today.

Combined with USB-C connectivity and the improvements made with iPadOS last fall, iPad Pro is better than ever at replacing notebook computers. With today’s refresh, Apple takes it one step further.

Its new ads highlight that for those who need a portable powerhouse that will help them stay productive on the go.

Your next computer is not a computer

One of Apple’s ads, titled “Your next computer is not a computer,” showcases the 2020 iPad Pro’s newest features and improvements. They include a LiDAR Scanner, Ultra Wide camera, and A12Z chip.

Apple demonstrates how these things, combined with that gorgeous Super Retina screen, push gaming, video editing, and augmented reality even further. The ad also features the Magic Keyboard.

A huge improvement over the Smart Keyboard, the Magic Keyboard features real, backlit keys and a revolutionary new hinge that offers viewing angle adjustment and a more comfortable experience.

How to correctly use a computer

Apple’s second new ad, titled “How to correctly use a computer,” is styled as a humorous tutorial. It notes the limitations of traditional computers while showing how iPad Pro overcomes them.

The ad does a terrific job of showing how iPad Pro, coupled with a Magic Keyboard, can do almost anything from editing images, capturing photos on the fly, and allowing you to work anywhere.
