The longest season in Fortnite history is finally over. Downtime just began for the game’s next major update, and Epic Games dropped its first official trailers for chapter two, season two. Check them out right here.
Fortnite chapter two was one of the most significant seasons to date. It introduced a brand-new Battle Royale map for the first time, alongside massive changes to gameplay. But, boy, are we glad to see the back of it.
Chapter two first kicked off way back in October of last year, which means it lasted a full four months. That’s a lot longer than the six-week seasons we were used to getting in the past. So, what’s next?
Get a sneak peek at what you can expect from Fortnite chapter two, season two in the new trailers below.
Fortnite chapter 2, season 2 trailers
The first video you need to see is the season two launch trailer. It’s just one minute long, but it gives you a brief taste of what will be waiting for you when Battle Royale goes live again in a few hours.
Look closely and you’ll notice new character outfits — including Deadpool — as well as new weapons and items. You should also spot at least one new location.
The new Battle Pass trailer is even more exciting. It shows some of the new characters in greater detail, and hints at new game modes. It also showcases what appear to be new mines that explode when enemies get too close.
Call of Duty fans will recognize what is clearly the Hijacked map from Black Ops II at around 30 seconds in. We don’t know what this means yet, but it’s incredibly exciting to see what might be the beginnings of a new crossover.

The Battle Pass trailer also hints at rideable animals, but there’s no sign of the helicopters recent rumors suggested we would get this season.
