Customers ready to click the “buy” button on a pair of new AirPods now have the option to have Apple customize the charging case with a name, phrase or emoji.

Apple posted a banner ad on its website to announce that its free engraving services now extend to AirPods and AirPods Pro.

The ad shows a variety of cases with several examples and a short sentence: “Now personal engraving options, from A to emoji.”

Apple devices, especially iPhones, iPads and now Air Pods are ubiquitous. Users often buy third-party cases and other accessories to make their gadgets more personal.

Analysts project Apple will sell 85 million AirPods this year which puts the earbuds on track for being one of Apple’s top three sellers.

Apple offers free engraving on items purchased directly from the website and an “Engraving and Gift Wrap” page shows off devices with engraved monograms, famous quotes or sayings and a limited number of emoji. There is even room on the Apple Pencil to engrave a name or a few words.
