Apple is now offering customers free two-hour delivery on eligible hardware “in most major metros.”

The offer is available until 4 p.m. local time today, December 24. It’s ideal for picking up last-minute gifts … if you don’t mind splashing out.

It is typically right around this time that we suddenly remember we forgot to buy a holiday gift for someone very important. If you’re in that boat today, Apple might be able to save you a trip to the store.

You can enjoy free two-hour delivery in metros where courier delivery is available. But it only applies to items that are in stock (obviously), and only certain Apple devices are eligible.

Apple offers free 2-hour delivery

Those devices include iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac — the most expensive items you’ll find in the Apple Store. Other items, like AirPods, one of the most popular holiday gifts, don’t qualify.

You can get free two-hour delivery on other items if you purchase them alongside a qualifying product. Or you can pay the usual $9 fee for two-hour delivery on everything else.

Apple says this promotion ends later today, at 4 p.m. local time. But in a small number of locations — including New York City, Las Vegas, and Hawaii — Apple will also be delivering tomorrow, December 25.

Other last-minute gift ideas

If you don’t have hundreds of dollars to spend on a last-minute gift, and you don’t want to venture out today, you might choose to send a gift card instead. Apple offers digital cards that can be delivered instantly via email.

Other retailers, such as Amazon, also offer the same.
