Lego’s latest Apple Arcade entry builds an atmospheric puzzler brick by brick. Lego Builder’s Journey is “a story about play, connections and adventure.”
It’s available only to those who subscribe to Apple’s gaming service.
Lego Builder’s Journey: Not your usual Lego game
Apple’s announcement for this new offering went out via Twitter:
Meet @LEGO_Group’s newest adventure: LEGO Builder’s Journey
In this poetic puzzler, you will build to reach new levels and experiment with breaking rules while enjoying beautiful music.

The description makes it sound similar to the very popular Monument Valley and other meditative games. According to Lego, this title for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV is “a poetic puzzler that takes place in Lego brick world.“ Players are “taken through a breathtaking world filled with brick-by-brick effects, accompanied by a beautiful soundtrack.”
Lego Builder’s Journey debuted today. This is exactly what Apple Arcade was created for. It’s a title not at all suited for in-app purchases, but those are banned by this gaming service. And the cost of the game is covered by the $4.99 a month subscription fee.
Those looking for a less artistic and more smashy, smashy adventure might turn to Lego Brawls, which lets players design their own minifig and fight their friends and family.
