YouTube’s biggest star just dropped a brand-new game for mobile devices, but you won’t be playing it on iPhone. Poopdie is a “poopcrafting adventure” from PewDiePie that’s too disgusting for the App Store.

Its developers this week confirmed the title was rejected by Apple for “crude imagery” — despite its cartoon visuals aimed at kids.

PewDiePie, real name Felix Kjellberg, is a 30-year-old internet sensation from Sweden. His YouTube channel is one of only two to surpass 100 million subscribers, and he’s attracted a staggering 24 billion views so far.

A large focus for PewDiePie’s channel is gameplay, so it’s only fitting that he would create some titles of his own. There have been seven to date, but the latest can only be played on Android for now.

Poopdie is all about … poop

Poopdie, developed by Bulbware, is a game about a worm with the same name that “gives birth to great miracles.”

What that really means is that the worm poops out his own troops, which then help him fight his way through dark and dangerous dungeons filled with a vast array of enemies.

Poopdie is aimed at kids, so it has kind of cute, cartoon visuals, and it’s filled with silly humor — mostly about poop. But it seems Apple doesn’t see the funny side of it.

Bulbware this week confirmed Poopdie was rejected from the App Store for being too disgusting.

PewDiePie suffers App Store rejection

“Unfortunately Apple seems to be disgusted by Poopdie and his army of little Troops,” reads an official statement.

“Small wormy got rejected and here is answer that we received: ‘[Poopdie has] crude imagery and sound effect which may disgust users.’ So it not complies with Apple guidelines.”

PewDiePie also confirmed Apple’s rejected in a video of his own. “It’s all cartoony but apparently this game is too stinky for Apple,” he said.

It’s unclear if Bulbware can adapt Poopdie to comply with App Store guidelines (or if it will even try). Given that the game is centered primarily around poop, it might be a difficult task. We’re reached out for more information.

For now, the only way to play Poopdie is with an Android device. You can download it free today.
