WaterField Designs, maker of bespoke bags for all your tech needs, was ready to pounce with a new hand-crafted briefcase when Apple unveiled the new 16-inch MacBook Pro today.
The Executive Leather Laptop Briefcase, available in black bison leather or chocolate brown cowhide, pairs a throwback look with contemporary internals.
The San Francisco-based company says it designed the briefcase specifically for the new 16-inch MacBook Pro. The highly anticipated (and well-received) laptop fits inside a well-padded compartment lined with a “cashmere-like” cushioning.
Alongside the MacBook compartment you will find two open-topped pockets for charging cords. An external pocket offers easy access to an iPhone, wallet or AirPods.
The MacBook briefcase comes with leather handles and a removable shoulder strap. Plus, a welcome passthrough panel lets you secure the bag atop a wheeled suitcase. Other features include a key fob, water-resistant zippers and slots for three pens.
If you’re ready to spring for a machine that starts at $2,399, you likely won’t balk at the briefcase’s $449 price tag. Nor should you. WaterField makes its products to last long past the life of the devices they carry.
Pre-order on the WaterField website starts today, with shipping scheduled for Dec. 6.
