Mujjo’s new insulated touchscreen gloves keep the cold at bay

When I tested a pair of Mujjo touchscreen gloves last year, my only complaint was that they could have been warmer. With two new styles, the Netherlands-based company is upping the ante on heat.

Winter is coming. Are you ready?

Here in San Francisco, using my iPhone with the Mujjo touchscreen gloves seemed just fine. Swiping and tapping worked pretty much like using a regular, unclad finger. However, it never really gets cold enough to need gloves here in the first place.

Things got serious when I took the high-tech hand warmers to Italy last winter. New Year’s Eve in Florence dropped into the 30s, and I did some serious shivering. My hands stayed much warmer with Mujjo’s sleek black gloves than they would have without them. And, as noted in Cult of Mac’s review of the gloves, the grippy texture on the fingers and palms gave them some welcome grip. The tactical styling made me feel a little bit like a Mission: Impossible spy, but I would have appreciated some extra insulation.

Apparently I wasn’t the only one who wanted a little bonus toastiness in my tech gloves. Mujjo just announced two new touchscreen glove models, both with added insulation to boost the warmth factor.

New Mujjo touchscreen gloves for 2019

Here’s what Mujjo has to say about its new tech gloves:

Insulated Touchscreen Gloves

Last year, we released a bestseller. This year, listening to customers, we’ve greatly improved insulation by adding an extra layer of Polar fleece making them extra warm and comfortable. Plus, the new thumb construction makes them fully responsive and optimized for larger screens.

Double-Insulated Touchscreen Gloves

As if that’s not enough, we’re also expanding the line-up with a completely re-engineered version able to withstand much colder temperatures.

Here’s how. First off, the outer shell has been upgraded to a wind-resistant, heavier Micro Pique. Then, two extra layers of insulation were added to create a unique triple-layered construction.

To put it simply … Better insulation, better touch capabilities, and still looking cool as hell, hope you like them as much as we do.

Mujjo sells its improved Insulated Touchscreen Gloves for $49.90 and its Double-Insulated Touchscreen Gloves for $59.90. Available now and they ship worldwide (even to the cold places).
