Parallels Toolbox just got a massive update on Mac that adds a whole bunch of useful new tools.

The version 3.5 release brings the ability to access clipboard history, an energy saving mode, and a sleep timer. It also allows you to hide menubar icons you don’t always need access to.

Parallels Toolbox is an all-in-one solution for managing your Mac. Its powerful features let you clear up space on your storage drive, download videos from the web, hide your desktop, and lots more.

And now Toolbox is even better. Its version 3.5 upgrade adds four useful new functions — and improves upon two existing ones.

Parallels Toolbox is better than ever

Here’s what’s new:

  • Clipboard History: Everything you copy to the Mac clipboard, including plain and formatted text, is saved. You can access it, search it, and more for up to 30 days. You can also pause saving, and exclude certain applications.
  • Hide menubar icons: You can now create two sets of menubar icons, visible and invisible, to hide those you don’t always need access to. You’ll see them when you click the tool’s control in the menubar, but they’ll hide again afterward.
  • Energy Saver mode: This activates a number of settings, including some hidden ones, that reduce strain on system resources and power consumption. It can be enabled automatically when battery life gets low.
  • Sleep Timer: Allows you to set a timer to send your Mac to sleep or shut it down. You can trigger this any time from 15 minutes up to six hours.

Enhanced versions of existing tools

A couple of existing Toolbox tools also get big improvements in this update.

The Clean Drive function can now see files that have been deleted, and lets you view them in Finder for improved transparency. The Find Duplicates tool now offers the ability to mass-select duplicates for better total size representation and simplified sorting.

The latest Parallels Toolbox update is available to download now, priced at $19.99 a year for new users and free for existing ones. A subscription will get you access to future releases, too.

Toolbox is also compatible with Windows machines.
