Apple isn’t quite ready to pump the brakes on its celebrity singing TV show, Carpool Karaoke

The iPhone-maker has reportedly renewed Carpool Karaoke for a third season. Production on season three is already underway and we already know at least one group of TV stars that will be joining the show.

Carpool Karaoke first aired in 2017 and is based on the popular segment from James Cordon’s The Late Late Show. New episodes are available exclusively to Apple Music subscribers.

What to expect in season 3

The cast of Stranger Things have already filmed an episode for season 3. Other celebrity pairings haven’t been announced yet. Last season featured Matthew McConaughey with Snoop Dogg, Kendal Jenner with Hailey Beiber and Miley Cyrus and Boyz II Men with Gisele Bundchen.

Apple hasn’t said how many episodes to expect in season three. The first season had 21 episodes while the second had 19. Carpool Karaoke won a 2018 Emmy for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series. The series was nominated for an Emmy in the same category this year too.

Along with the new Carpool Karaoke season, Apple has a bevy of new TV shows that are coming out this fall as part of Apple TV+. The company gave a short glimpse at some of its TV shows at an event in March. We also got an in-depth look at For All Mankind this week as part of the Apollo mission moon landing anniversary. Apple TV+ will launch this fall. More details like pricing and the first slate of shows should be revealed in the next few months.
