The first details about multiple unannounced 2019 iPad models are leaking out. Several Apple tablets just appeared in a Eurasian intergovernmental agency’s database.

And production for at least one of these devices begins this month, according to a source in Asia.

Multiple new iPad models

Five new tablets are now listed in a Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) database. These bear product numbers A2197, A2198, A2228, A2230 and A2068. None of these are currently-available iPads.

No details about them are available, other than the EEC noting that these are “Tablet computers of the trademark ‘Apple.’”

A rumor from several months ago indicated Apple is working on the first 10.2-inch iPad. It’s possible this is among the tablets newly listed in this Eurasian database. There won‘t be four more, as Apple assigns slightly different product numbers for individual configurations — the A2197 and A2198 are likely the same device, one with built-in LTE, for example.

The EEC holds sway in several countries, including Russia, Belarus, Armenia, and more. Entries in its product database have given us early looks at Apple computers in the past, like the iPads that launched this spring.

2019 iPad already in production

The Chinese-language Economic Daily News reports (via Google Translate), “It is said that the new iPad will be mass-produced in July, and the new 16-inch MacBook Pro will be mass-produced in the fourth quarter.”

This came at the end of an article about Ruiyi, a company that produces backlights for Apple laptops and tablets. It’s not clear if this Chinese company is the source of this unconfirmed report, however.

Several market analysts have already predicted that a 16-inch MacBook Pro is in development.
