People who carry their iPhone and AirPods everywhere might really use the Power1. Not only does this battery case charge the handset, it includes a built-in AirPods charging case.

It’s just been fully funded on Kickstarter, but there are still pre-release specials available.

“Power1 is a multifaceted solution that gives the convenience of storing and charging your AirPods and iPhone all in one place… with just one product,” note the designers of this device.

The 3000 mAH battery in the Power1 can provide up to 30 charges to AirPods, or up to 41 hours of total talk time, depending on your iPhone model. A switch allows stored power to go to just the AirPods or to both the earbuds and the iPhone.

Beyond recharging, this accessory shields its contents from drops and bumps. Raised edges around the screen and a microfiber interior provide additional protection.

There are versions all the 2018 iOS handsets: iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max. These come in white or black.

Like all battery cases, the Power1 will add bulk to the handset. In this case, it’s about 5 ounces in weight and 0.7 inches of thickness.

Special deals on Power1

The retail price for this iPhone/Airpods charging case will be $150. Those willing to put their money down now can get it for less, though. There’s still a handful of slots on Kickstarter to pre-order at $94, and more for it at $119.

Kickstarter projects are about delayed gratification. The estimated delivery is in October.

Alternatives to Power1 include the Mophie Juice Pack Access, which is $99.95 but doesn’t have a built-in AirPods charger. The same is true of Apple’s $129 Smart Battery Case. The official Wireless Charging Case for AirPods is $79.
